Monaco playmaker Bernardo Silva flew into Manchester last night as he’s been heavily linked with a move to become Pep Guardiola’s first signing of the summer, according to reports.
He’s also been linked with a move to Old Trafford, although Manchester City remain favourites to acquire his services in the summer transfer window.
The Portuguese international arrived at Manchester Airport on Thursday night on a flight from Mallorca, and Jose Mourinho addressed a potential transfer, claiming he would welcome him at United.
Guardiola already has David Silva, Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin de Bruyne but is set to overhaul the squad after falling short of Premier League champions Chelsea.
He claimed he wanted more quality in his team last month and although reports claim Mourinho could make £200m of signings this summer, a move on Silva remains uncertain.
Silva has been incredible at Monaco this season and played a big part in their league and Champions League efforts, and although Monaco will be looking to keep hold of their star assets, we could see one or two of them make a summer switch.
