Manchester United have made an approach for Paris Saint-Germain’s Lucas Moura, according to reports.
The side came close to landing his services in 2012 when the Brazilian forward was playing for Sao Paulo, however, Sir Alex Ferguson revealed Man United were not willing to offer any higher than £35m for the 24-year-old at the time.
He joined PSG one year later and has enjoyed an incredible career, winning 14 trophies, scoring 44 goals in the process.
Jose Mourinho is said to be targeting a move for Moura as it’d be difficult to lure his main target Willian from Chelsea.
Although he has been linked with a move away from the Premier League winners after making 21 starts under Antonio Conte, he claims he wants to honour his contract which runs on until 2020.
Mourinho is set to turn his efforts towards Moura, and following United’s victory of the Euroa League, they now have Champions League football to offer, which will be a massive boost in acquiring the best talent in football.
He was able to sign incredible names last summer and there’s no doubt United fans are in for a similar window as he looks to overhaul his squad.
