Antoine Griezmann has confirmed that he talked about his future plans with his team-mates at Atletico Madrid.
The Frenchman claimed last week there was a six out of 10 chance of him joining Manchester United as he prepared himself to leave Atletico and win silverware elsewhere.
He’s been massively linked with an Old Trafford move as Jose Mourinho is allegedly willing to pay his release clause which would make him the world’s most expensive player, just one summer after breaking the world-record fee on bringing Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford.
Speaking about his future at Atletico on Spanish TV station Cero, he said: “My future will be decided this summer. It is in the hands of the club president.”
“My agents have spoken with Atletico, we will see what happens. I have spoken with my coach, with Koke and Godin.”
Griezmann would be an incredible signing and while everything points towards him playing at United, we can’t get too ahead of ourselves as we’ve seen it previously in the past.
There’s no doubt he’d fit in well alongside Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba but it remains to be seen if we’ll see him in a United shirt or not, especially with so many contrasting reports over the situation.
