Adnan Januzaj will be told he has to leave Manchester United next week – report

Adnan Januzaj will be told by Manchester United next week he has no future at the club, according to the Times.

He has spent the last two seasons out on loan at Sunderland and Borussia Dortmund and had hoped to be given a role to play at Old Trafford by Jose Mourinho, but he has not been given a part to play.

The Belgian has one year left on his current deal, weakening United’s negotiating position, however, he could cost between £10 million and £15 million, with Marseille and Lyon showing the strongest interest.

They’re not said to be worried by his recent poor performances and believe they can get the best out of the player who was once rated as one of the best young talents in Europe.

His emergence at Old Trafford was thought to be one of the highlights of David Moyes’ ill-fated nine months in charge, but since then he’s been massively disappointing as he’s failed to live up to his potential.

He’s spoken out about his desire to still make a success of his Man United career, but it doesn’t seem like he’ll get the chance as his time at the club looks to come to an end.
