Cristiano Ronaldo insists David de Gea is a very good goalkeeper at Manchester United but there aren’t many players that make the move following transfer speculation.
He has given his backing to the Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas as there are still doubts he could even make the move following his collapsed deal on transfer deadline day in the past.
Sky Sports claim Man United turned down a £60m offer from Real for De Gea last week, however, the club have denied any talk of an official bid.
Speaking about the situation, Ronaldo has backed Navas amid the ongoing speculation.
“Keylor Navas is Real Madrid’s goalkeeper,” he said.
“De Gea is a very good keeper but he is at United. They talk about 50,000 footballers every year and they are always the same.
“Of the players they talk about, maybe one or two will arrive and that’s it.”
De Gea is said to be comfortable at United as he’s happy with the squad Jose Mourinho is building at Old Trafford as they’re clearly moving going on to big things.
The Spaniard is a vital player at United and Mourinho won’t be forced into selling his star asset unless a deal benefits both parties.
