Manchester United only want David de Gea swap deal – report

Manchester United do not want to sell David de Gea in a straight deal and would only commit to a swap deal, according to Sky Sports.

He has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford exit as Real Madrid have revived their interest in the Spaniard following the collapsed move on transfer deadline day in the summer of 2015.

De Gea is said to be comfortable at Man United as he’s pleased with the progress the Portuguese boss has made since he took over and will be delighted with the qualification for Champions League football ahead of next season.

The Spaniard has been a vital player at Old Trafford and Mourinho will not be forced into selling his star asset unless a deal benefits both parties, as a transfer is expected to be worth around £60m.

Gareth Bale has been massively suggested as the player that will be included in the swap deal as he’s fallen behind Spanish playmaker Isco in the pecking order with many believing the team perform better without him.

He’d be one hell of a player to have at United and there’s no doubt he has the ability to influence games but it remains to be seen if a deal will go through as United would also need to find a replacement for De Gea, which won’t be easy in the current market.
