Gareth Bale has opened up about his future at Real Madrid, claiming he’s happy despite speculation linking him with a summer move to Manchester United.

He has made just 27 appearances as Los Blancos won their 33rd La Liga title, becoming the first side to retain the Champions League.

The Welshman came on as a late substitute appearance in Saturday’s victory over Juventus in the final after being sidelined for over a month with a calf injury.

Speaking about his future, Bale insists he wants to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu and build on his future.

“Yeah, I have signed a long term contract at Madrid,” he said.

“My family is happy and I am happy so, yeah, we will continue what we are doing.

“As I have said, I am happy here at Madrid. We are winning trophies and I am happy.”

He’s scored 67 goals for Zinedine Zidane’s side since becoming the world’s most expensive footballer in 2013 and has won seven trophies in the process.

The club have continued to be heavily linked with a move for Bale after Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed the side made their first move in 2007.
