Bayern Munich are ready to offload midfielder Renato Sanches after a disappointing season following his move from Benfica for £28million last summer, according to reports.
After missing out on a move for the Portugal international last summer before Jose Mourinho took over, the club will not want to let him slip through their hands again if he decides to leave.
Mourinho expressed his disappointment at United not securing the 19-year-old’s services and it seems like they could get a second chance to bring him to Old Trafford.
He’s only started six games in the Bundesliga and has failed to score or assist in 25 appearances across all competitions.
Reports claim Man United are one five clubs who are on alert and ready to sign him, with Inter Milan, Juventus, Monaco and Marseille are also reported to be interested.
Mourinho will be on the lookout for some top talent this summer to bolster his attacking options and should Sanches become available, there’s no doubt he’ll be doing everything he can to bring him to United.
He only signed with Bayern last summer and while it’s unlikely that they’ll be willing to let him leave after one disappointing season, a deal is believed to be worth around £45million, even though it could be less after he failed to impress at Bayern.
