Real Madrid have rejected a £52.4m offer for striker Alvaro Morata from Manchester United, according to Sky Sports.
Man United did not include David de Gea in a potential deal as Real Madrid allegedly want in the region of £78m for the forward.
He scored 20 goals in all competitions for Real last season even though he hasn’t seen much game time with Karim Benzema leading the line to La Liga and Champions League success.
They also claim if a deal for Morata is not reached, Man United will focus their efforts on trying to sign Andrea Belotti from Torino even though there is £87.3m release clause in his contract.
He progressed through the Real Madrid academy to make his first team debut in December 2010 before his move to Juventus in the summer of 2014 for £17.5m.
However, he won two Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia titles in his two years at the club which forced Madrid into using their buy-back clause to bring Morata back from Juventus for £26.2m.
Morata has now been massively linked with an exit as Madrid look to cash in on his services and there’s no doubt he could be a massive talent at Old Trafford as he’s still only 24 and has plenty of time ahead.
