Luciano Spalletti won’t stand in Man United’s way for Ivan Perisic

Manchester United have been given the green light to sign Ivan Perisic this summer.

New Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti claims he will not stand in the way of the Croatian if he decides to leave the San Siro this summer.

He is among the list of Jose Mourinho‘s targets and has been massively linked with a move to Old Trafford as the Portuguese boss hopes to secure four key signings in the upcoming transfer window.

Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is yet to agree on a fee with Inter for his services as he is valued at around £50m, but the Old Trafford club values him at closer to £35m.

Speaking about a potential transfer, Spalletti claims he won’t be forcing any players to stay at Inter.

“We shouldn’t convince anyone to stay at Inter,” he said.

“I am already convincing others to join Inter and that is the most we can aspire to do.

“If someone is not convinced, he is good to go and play where he feels more motivated.”

PSG have been linked with a move for the 28-year-old which could increase his price, but United will be trying to get in early and avoid a possible transfer saga.

United are also expected to complete moves for Victor Lindelof and Alvaro Morata as the Portuguese boss hopes to turn the squad into title contenders in the Champions League and Premier League ahead of next campaign.
