Real Madrid foward Alvaro Morata has asked Gareth Bale join him at Manchester United this summer, according to reports.

Man United are said to be closing on on a move for Morata, as a deal is expected to be worth around £64m for the Spain international.

He is allegedly set to be in England on Monday where he will finally sign a contract at Old Trafford after his personal terms were agreed on Saturday afternoon.

He’s set to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Old Trafford after the big Swede picked up a serious knee injury and was released by the club as he is still expected to miss the start of next season.

Don Balon claim Morata has urged Bale to join him at Old Trafford, even though he previously talked about playing on the same team as James Rodriguez next campaign.

Man United have been continuously linked with a move for Bale as they first tried to sign him when he left Tottenham for Real for £86m in 2013.

Bale is close friends with Morata and although reports claim he is happy at Madrid, he could be could be convinced by his lack of game time this campaign.
