Alvaro Morata’s agent, Juanma Lopez, has confirmed Manchester United have made an offer to sign him from Real Madrid this summer.
He’s been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford and now Jose Mourinho‘s interest has been confirmed as Lopez claimed the decision is now in Real’s to be made.
An initial bid of around £52m was allegedly turned down last week and a new offer said to be in the region of £60m was agreed on by both parties.
Speaking about a potential move, Lopez also revealed a rejected offer from AC Milan as Man United lead the race.
“Manchester United is a great club, a very interesting option,” he said.
“I can say that this is a very important proposal and now the decision is Real.
“Yes Milan did feel Morata, there have been frequent contacts with us until a few days ago, I can confirm it. Real Madrid has simply found the Rossoneri club’s offer unsatisfactory,” he added.
He’ll be an exceptional addition at Old Trafford as Mourinho looks for a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has recently been released by the club following his serious knee injury.
The Portuguese boss has been moving quickly and it seems like United have avoided a potential transfer saga in the Morata deal.
