Alvaro Morata has been convinced to join Manchester United this summer by two of the club’s Spanish contingent, according to reports.
Jose Mourinho has made the Real Madrid forward a top priority after cooling his interest in Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann as the Frenchman claimed it would be a low blow to leave during their current transfer ban.
Morata has allegedly been in contact with De Gea and Herrera, and has been persuaded that a move to Old Trafford is the right decision following their time together on international duty.
He’s not the only one that’s been in contact as reports claimed Mourinho had called Morata earlier in the week to assure him of his place in the side and the significant role he has to play for United.
Morata is looking for more game time as he looks to get his career on the right path and as whilst he’s behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in the Real striking pecking order, it doesn’t look like he’ll be able to achieve that.
The 24-year-old has all the attributes to become a top player and with a good run of games, we could see the best out of him at Old Trafford.
