Inter Milan and Croatia winger Ivan Perisic ‘expects to join Manchester United’ soon and is already preparing for life at Old Trafford, according to reports.
The 29-year-old, who scored 11 goals and claimed 10 assists last season, has reportedly agreed personal terms with Man United.
An exact figure still needs to be agreed, with Inter reportedly demanding €55m, but newly appointed manager Luciano Spalletti has admitted that he won’t be able to stand in the way of Perisic leaving.
And according to the Mirror‘s Ciaran Kelly, Perisic is keen on playing Champions League football again after a four year absence and is already preparing for the switch from Milan to Manchester.
The former Serie A giants are proving refractory over the figure they receive, and I can understand why. They need to raise £26m by the end of June to meet Financial Fair Play regulations, and any further funds will, no doubt, go towards putting together a team that can challenge the likes of Juventus, Roma, Napoli and AC Milan.
But with Mourinho supposedly willing to shell out the required sum of £51m for the 29-year-old’s services, supporters can expect to see the deal completed over the next couple of weeks.
