Manchester United have been given until the weekend to seal the transfer of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to reports.
Inter have allegedly claimed he won’t be for sale afterwards as they’d prefer to keep hold of him and suffer a potential Financial Fair Play penalty rather than lose him for below market value.
They need to bring in £26m by July 1 (this Saturday) and it seems United were United were unwilling to negotiate on their offer as they hoped to make a potential deal.
United’s unwillingness to move could end up costing them one of their summer targets as Gazzetta Dello Sport insist he will not be allowed to leave after Saturday.
The club have been linked with big names this summer and Jose Mourinho would have hoped to have completed more deals earlier in the window as he did with Victor Lindelof to avoid any potential summer sagas.
He has been offered a new contract at the San Siro in an attempt to tie him down at the club, but his future still remains uncertain as United have been handed a very short timeline to try complete a deal and bring him to Old Trafford.
