Monaco are currently negotiating a fee with Manchester United for the sale of Fabinho this summer, according to reports.
He has been heavily linked with an exit this summer as he’s impressed for Monaco last season as they beat Paris St-Germain to the Ligue 1 title.
Fabinho can play as a right-back or a centre midfielder and although PSG have made an initial offer of €45m, it was rejected as Monaco do not want to sell to their rivals.
Man United were thought to be previously leading the race for his signature but it seems like they could actually land his services as Monaco do not want to strengthen a direct rival.
Corriere dello Sport claim both parties are now in talks over a fee and Old Trafford is the Brazillian’s most likely destination this summer.
Jose Mourinho has stated his frustrations previously, claiming that he would like to complete summer business before United go on their pre-season tour of America on July 9.
However, with Victor Lindelof set to be the only new arrival on the plane, there’s a lot of work that still needs to be done as he looks to come back to Monaco with a new offer in the coming days.
