Romelu Lukaku’s camp want him to leave Everton for Manchester United instead of Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to BBC presenter Richard Askam.
Both clubs are currently in the race to lure him away from Everton as he has previously confirmed he has no intention of signing a new contract with the Toffees.
He managed 25 goals and six assists in the Premier League last season and with Diego Costa set to leave Chelsea, he’s been heavily linked with a summer transfer to Antonio Conte’s side.
Jose Mourinho has been looking to fill the gap left by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the big Swede finished his debut season in England with 28 goals to his name but after picking up a serious knee injury was not offered a contract extension.
Man United are believed to be closing in on a deal for Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata as they have now sanctioned a £65 million transfer which is expected to be wrapped up before the end of the week.
United have still continued talks with Lukaku as he’s been in incredible form, even when the players around him at Everton, with the Belgian desperately seeking Champions League football, we could see him in a United shirt.
