Benfica forward Anderson Talisca re-affirms he’d love to work under Jose Mourinho

Benfica forward Anderson Talisca has reiterated tht he’d love to work under Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.

The 23-year-old has impressed while on loan at Besiktas last season, where he scored 17 goals in 33 games for the Turkish side.

He’s expected to leave in a permanent deal this summer for a fee in the region of £15m, however, after professing his admiration for Mourinho, we could see him make the move.

Speaking about a transfer, Talisca opened up about his Old Trafford dreams.

“I have a lot of respect for Jose Mourinho, he is an amazing manager and I have always said I would love to work with Mourinho,” he said.

“I do not want to get into this debate about an offer being made or not; let’s just say if I were to receive that kind of offer you would all know about it.”

He joined Benfica for just £4.15m in 2014 and has picked up some much-needed experience of playing in the Champions League with both Besiktas and Benfica.

This is not the first time Talisca has said he’d love to play under Mourinho and at this stage it’s a bit sad I suppose, he’s trying his hardest to force a move which simply isn’t going to happen. Poor lad.

With Mourinho stepping up his pursuit of new players this summer, Ed Woodward will be working hard on new transfers but I’d be very surprised if Talisca was anywhere near that list.
