Marcus Rashford has ramped up the heat as he prepares for Manchester United’s pre-season tour this month.
Jose Mourinho‘s men will jet off to the United States on Sunday for a tour comprising of eight games in eight different cities over a 28 day period.
Rashford, who has been enjoying some time off in the U.S., meeting Ronaldinho in the process, has been getting in shape ahead of what promises to be a challenging month.
And his latest video, involving a litany of gruelling exercises, shows that he is stepping up preparations before returning to Carrington.
There is something strange about watching Rashford put himself through such mundane, rigorous exercises. His approach to the beautiful game comes across as unteachable, almost as if effortlessly slaloming past flailing challenges is just something he has always been able to do, without much thought.
But make no mistake: the teenager has rapidly ascended through the ranks because he indefatigably and unfailingly commits himself to the cause every single day. Without fail.
He does not – like, say, Romelu Lukaku – have a naturally imposing physique, which means that fine-tuning the way he turns and runs is imperative to maintaining the kind of ferocity needed to succeed at this level.
