Antonio Conte is furious with the prospect of Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku joining Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
He seemed destined for a move to Stamford Bridge as Man United looked to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, however, the Old Trafford club have now reached an initial £75m fee for their first choice target Lukaku.
Chelsea are now evaluating other transfers as Morata seems like a potential target due to his intention of playing in the Premier League, especially with Diego Costa set to leave this summer.
Conte is said to be livid that the club took so long to wrap up a deal for the Belgian as he’s been speaking to him for several weeks about a move to Chelsea.
He’s currently out in Los Angeles with Paul Pogba and will hope to take a medical out in America with the hopes of joining up with Man United for the pre-season tour, with the rest of the players flying out on Sunday.
Lukaku’s transfer to United hasn’t been completed yet and although Chelsea tried to contact him while he was in LA, they had no luck in changing Lukaku’s mind as he seems set on an Old Trafford switch.
