Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed Everton’s Romelu Lukaku will be joining Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
The Belgian has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford over the summer, however, speculation has spiralled over the last 48 hours after Man United pulled out of a move for Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.
A deal of around £75m has been agreed for Lukaku as he’s destined for a United switch and following the news, Di Marzio has thrown his hat into the ring, confirming a move will be completed.
Mourinho has been on the lookout for a new striker as Zlatan Ibrahimovic had not been offered a new contract, and after scoring 28 goals across all competitions, it was definitely a big gap to fill.
The 24-year-old is proven in the Premier League and has continuously performed for Everton, even though there have been claims that he doesn’t perform against the top six, it’s clear that if the team around him is performing then he’ll be able to produce the goods.
He’ll be looking forward to getting started at United and lining up alongside good friend Paul Pogba, who he has been joined for the past three summers over summer breaks.
