He will travel with the squad to Los Angeles after impressing the club’s medical staff with his dedication to getting fit and recovering from his ankle ligament injury.
The Englishman is not expected to be fit for a return to Jose Mourinho‘s team until the end of August as he underwent surgery on his ankle following the injury he picked up against Swansea City at Old Trafford in April.
However, he has been included in United’s travelling party as he looks to continue his recovery in America during the club’s 17-day preseason tour.

He had been facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford last year as he had been publically criticised on multiple occasions by Mourinho, but the Portuguese boss did mention he has no intentions of selling Shaw as he could be a brilliant player at Old Trafford.
It’s great to see him working hard on himself and it’s even better that Mourinho has seen all his work to make himself available.
