Andreas Pereira has confirmed he is part of Manchester United’s 2017 pre-season tour squad and will join up with his teammates in Los Angeles.
Pereira, 21, spent last season on loan at La Liga side Granada and even though they were relegated, Pereira really built himself up as a player and impressed with a season of real progress in Spain.
There is a real excitement around Pereira because many fans feel he is capable of breaking into the first-team squad and Jose Mourinho giving him an opportunity to impress on tour is exactly what Pereira has been waiting for.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how Pereira gets on our pre-season tour because he’s a prodigious talent, one who is definitely good enough to be part of Mourinho’s plans next year but what Jose will want to see is a real maturity from Pereira. That’s one thing he’s certainly developed out in Spain.
When he left last year on loan, Pereira wasn’t quite ready to be part of United’s squad but after a full season on loan, he’ll be back as a more rounded and complete player, so here’s hoping that means he can now force his way into Mourinho’s squad on a permanent basis.
