Inter Milan are not budging on Ivan Perisic’s Manchester United transfer fee and have refused to lower their £48.5 million asking price, according to The Times.
Jose Mourinho has been left frustrated and was disappointed that his new players were not on the plane with the rest of the squad to take part in the pre-season tour.
Victor Lindelof was the only new arrival on the flight, with Romelu Lukaku joining up with the players once his deal had been completed as he had been training out in Los Angeles with Paul Pogba all week.
Man United were hoping to sign him for around £30 million as Inter were expecting to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, but after raising the funds in smaller deals, they rejected the initial bid last week and have refused to negotiate a lower fee.
Perisic is said to be desperate to join United and play under Mourinho, however, with both clubs struggling to negotiate a fee, it remains to be seen how an outcome will be reached.
Inter Milan director, Piero Ausili, has already confirmed they have not even entertained any current offers from United, and if they want to get a deal over the line, the Old Trafford club will need to move closer to his valuation.
