Manchester United have confirmed squad numbers for new signings Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof.

Lindelof will wear the No.2 shirt, while Lukaku will wear the No.9 shirt, taking over from Zlatan Ibrahimovic who left the club this summer after picking up a serious knee injury.

They’ve both been training hard out in Los Angeles for the pre-season tour of America, and although Jose Mourinho has confirmed Lukaku won’t feature against LA Galaxy, he could be in action against Real Salt Lake just two days later.

They’re both set to play vital roles at United and Mourinho will still be expecting more signings as United are still in negotiations with some clubs over summer targets.

Lindelof and Lukaku will fill major gaps left in the side and with the Portuguese boss hoping to turn his side into contenders in the Premier League and Champions League, it’s definitely a step in the right direction as he looks to take United back to winning ways.

There’s still plenty of work left to get the rest of his targets to the club but he’ll be pleased to have two exceptional talents at his disposal at Old Trafford.
