Manchester United have turned their attention to Paris Saint-Germain’s Serge Aurier, according to Independent’s Miguel Delaney.
A move has been identified as Man United continue their search for a right-back, with a move for Monaco’s Fabinho looking increasingly difficult.
Jose Mourinho is looking to bolster the positiion this summer, along with a top priority defensive midfielder and a winger.
Even though he’s completed the signing of Romelu Lukaku from Everton, he is said to be open to signing another striker if the opportunity presents itself.
Fabinho has been a top target, however, Monaco have proven to be exceptionally tough negotiators as they look to keep hold on to as much of their young talent as possible.
Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the player which would potentially raise his price past £40m, but Monaco would prefer to sell to a club outside France.
As a move has proven difficult to finalise, United have already been looking at alternatives, with 24-year-old Aurier looking like a stronger possibility.
He is currently valued at around £25m and would be cheaper than Fabinho, however, Mourinho won’t be getting the same versatility Fabinho has showcased, giving Leonardo Jardim plenty of options at Monaco.
