Manchester United fans were full of praise for Paul Pogba following what was a dazzling display during their side’s 2-0 pre-season win over Manchester City in Houston.
The Frenchman begun the game alongside Ander Herrera in a midfield two and quickly made an impact with a sublime assist for Romelu Lukaku.
He then went on to breezily dictate proceedings as Man City struggled to match his tempo, sending inch-perfect passes all across the surface and skipping past players at will.
Supporters didn’t hesitate to heap praise on the 24-year-old in light of another truly classy performance.

There is something about the way Pogba’s approach that immediately catches the eye – even amongst those that don’t regularly watch Man United or indeed football in general.
Back in February, for example, I took my friend Nikolas – a Panathinaikos fan – to his first ever game on English soil (a 2-0 win over Watford), and from minute one he couldn’t stop enthusing about the Frenchman. As a pure spectacle, he is an absolute pleasure to watch – something amplified when you see his gangly magic in the flesh.
And against a Man City side playing their first pre-season game and notably behind on fitness, this was an exhibition match for the midfielder. He could skip, turn and stroke the ball however he pleased, and there was little anybody in Houston could do – least of all Yaya Toure and Kevin de Bruyne – except from watch from a distance and admire.
