Jose Mourinho could secure the services of ostracised Bayern Munich youngster Renato Sanches on a loan basis this summer, according to reports.
Sanches moved to Bayern instead and endured a miserable opening campaign, making just two starts since the turn of the year and managing just 615 minutes of Bundesliga football overall.
And according to the Mail Online‘s Kit Holden, Bayern would be willing to let the 20-year-old leave on loan this summer to receive more game time.
Mourinho has made it agonisingly clear that, had be been handed the job earlier, Sanches would be a United player by now. He even remarked on the youngster’s fruitless campaign earlier this year, implying that he would have picked up more game time if he had made a different decision the summer before.
The bottom line is that the 54-year-old admires Sanches. He would have watched him closely at Benfica and clearly pin-pointed the midfielder as one of his early targets. Ignoring this opportunity to take the youngster on board for nine months would be a criminal mistake ahead of next season.
