Real Madrid eye potential move for Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford – report

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has been lined up as a potential signing for Real Madrid this summer, according to reports.

He has cemented his place in the first-team under Jose Mourinho after bursting onto the scene under Louis Van Gaal.

The Englishman has an incredible future ahead and it’s clear he has a massive role to play at Old Trafford, as he’s currently tied down at United for another three years, with the option of a further 12 months included in his £20,000-a-week deal.

According to Diario Gol, Rashford is on their four-man shortlist to replace Alvaro Morata, after Chelsea secured his services in a deal which could rise to £75m.

Real could try to tempt him away from Old Trafford as Zinedine Zidane wants to ensure he has enough options at his disposal, especially if Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale or Karim Benzema get injured.

However, there is no chance Man United will sell Rashford, he’s invaluable to the squad and it’d be a terrible decision to let a player with his potential leave the club.

Especially for Real Madrid, after all they’ve done this summer with the Alvaro Morata deal, stalling negotiations to try and get the best possible deal, Man United should show them where the door is.
