Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti has provided Manchester United with a big transfer boost following his latest comments about Ivan Perisic’s situation.
The Portuguese boss identified the Croation as a top priority target this summer, however, both clubs have failed to come to an agreement on a transfer price.
Inter have been playing hardball and are refusing to sell for less than £50m, with Man United unwilling to match their demands for the 28-year-old.
Speaking about a potential transfer, Spalletti claims that if the price demands are met, Perisic will be sold.
“He is a fantastic player and if his future was totally up to me, I would definitely keep him,” Spalletti said.
“However, if an offer comes and the club are satisfied with the money, which will be used to invest in and strengthen the team, he could leave.”
Inter’s technical director Walker Sabatini earlier said that a right offer from Man United has not been made yet, as they will consider any offers that are in the range of their valuation for Perisic.
United were hoping to complete a deal for Perisic before Inter flew to China for their pre-season tour earlier this week, however, with both sides yet to come to a fee, he will be featuring in games for the Serie A club.
