He was the first player through the door at Old Trafford this summer, as Ed Woodward managed to conclude talks with Benfica very early on.
The Swede arrived for €35 million, with the deal set to rise by €10m should certain performance-related clauses be met.
Speaking about his potential, Lindelof is happy with his start at Man United.
“There was a lot of talk and in the end I am here — and I am very happy to be here,” he said. “It has been good. All the lads in the team are helping a lot, so I am settling in quite good.
“It’s just been a week since we started training and played some games. It has been alright — I’m getting into it better and better every day.
“[Mourinho] is a very good manager. I like him a lot. He helped the players a lot when you speak to them, so I think I am going to develop a lot under him.”
He’s showcased already that he’ll be a vital part of the squad next season as he’s set to partner Eric Bailly in the centre of defence.
Lindelof will be looking forward to getting the 2017-18 campaign under way and at the age of 23, there’s no doubting the fact that he has all the attributes to become a top player at Old Trafford.
