Manchester United have come to victories over LA Galaxy, Real Salt Lake, Manchester City and Real Madrid, and will be hoping to continue their streak against Barcelona.
The trio have been ruled out of action and Jose Mourinho confirmed they were with the squad to continue their return to full fitness rather than to play a role in America.
Speaking about the situation, Shaw claims it’s been beneficial to be part of the travelling squad.
“It’s been great to all be together and that’s why it was a positive thing that me, Ash and Marcos came on the trip,” he said.
“We’ve been together as a group for a while now but obviously each summer there are new lads that come in each season and it’s good to bond with them and get to know them. It’s good for the squad to build momentum and be around each other and get to know each other more and it builds more strength on the pitch.”
They’ve all been working hard to make themselves available, but Mourinho has already confirmed Rojo will be back in December, Shaw in September and Young in October.
Mourinho has been well aware of their circumstances and although it’s a massive blow to have them out of action, it’s clear they’re on the right path to recovery.
