The 22-year-old has been a regular for the Belgian champions for some time and scored a late equaliser during the first leg of their Europa League quarter final clash with Man United back in April.
And according to M.E.N‘s Charlotte Duncker, club scouts have been sent to monitor the Belgian’s progress ahead of a potential bid.
Anderlecht spent 180 minutes being largely overshadowed by Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera, but there was a nervy period in the second leg, right after Anderlecht equalised, when the lanky, idiosyncratic brilliance of Dendoncker became apparent.
He is a looming, marauding figure capable of breaking through the lines with the ball but can also serve as a disciplined shield for the back four, though he naturally prefers exacting himself on attacking proceedings, as seen with his dramatic late goal against Mourinho’s men that followed a sustained period of being forced to dig in for 80 minutes.
A talented prospect, but perhaps not blessed with the experience needed to bring balance to United’s midfield next season.
