Bayern Munich CEO, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, has provided an update on the future of Renato Sanches, claiming there are a number of clubs pursuing the midfielder.
Manchester United have been long-term admirers of Sanches, with many believing he’d make the move to Old Trafford last summer before Bayern came in at the last moment.
Jose Mourinho confirmed he’d have been in for the 19-year-old had he taken over at Man United sooner and he’s now received the opportunity to secure his services as Sanches looks for more game time.
Speaking about his talents, Rummenigge confirmed at least 10 clubs have been registered their interest in Sanches.
“There are at least 10 teams after Sanches,” he said.” [Antonio] Conte asked for some information about him after Tuesday’s match because he knows he can make the difference on the pitch.
“Ancelotti was pleased with his performance against Chelsea so we can make some reasoning on him later.”
He made the move to the Bundesliga giants for £35m just last year, but has massively failed under Carlo Ancelotti, which is why he’s now looking elsewhere in a loan deal which could result in a permanent sale if the right price is met.
Sanches would be great at United and it remains to be seen if we’ll see him at the club as there is stiff competition for his services.
