Manchester United have turned their attention to Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as Jose Mourinho wants to complete his fourth signing this summer, according to reports.
Ed Woodward has allegedly been monitoring his situation as Chelsea and Liverpool have both shown interest in signing him if he becomes available.
He is in the final year of his Arsenal deal which means there is a chance a move could be on the cards, especially with three Premier League clubs waiting in the wings.
The 24-year-old is versatile, something Mourinho likes in his players, and has the ability to play in the middle of the park or even as a wingback.
He has an extensive knowledge of the English game and would be an alternative if the Old Trafford club can’t get a deal over the line for Ivan Perisic.
Mourinho was hoping to sign Perisic on a cheap with Inter having to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, however, after raising the funds with a number of smaller deals, they have been set on keeping hold of their star asset.
It seems the Portuguese boss has been forced to look elsewhere as Inter play hardball and there isn’t much time left if he wants to get a deal over the line before the end of the window this month.
