Manchester United pull the plug on signing Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose – report

by Tanveer Arayan

Manchester United have pulled the plug on signing Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose even though he wants an Old Trafford switch this summer, according to reports.

He’s been desperate for a move since finding out Jose Mourinho was interested in signing him but Tottenham are not interested in selling.

Even though Chelsea were also in the race to sign him, he has no interest in moving to Stamford Bridge.

Daniel Levy and the Spurs board allegedly fear selling Rose just before the start of the season will set an unacceptable precedent for the rest of the squad.

He was fined for his recent interview where he urged Spurs to sign players this summer and recently released an apology as Tottenham don’t want other stars following suit.

Man United have now pulled the plug on any deal after learning Spurs won’t sell, as they understand Levy can be a very harsh negotiator, especially if the club don’t want him to leave.

Rose would have been an exceptional player, but Mourinho has Luke Shaw at Old Trafford and he’s been working very hard on his rehabilitation to make himself available in the new season.
