Ivan Perisic is still keen on joining Manchester United this summer, according to reports.
Jose Mourinho has been keen on signing him at Old Trafford and was hoping to sign him on a cheap as Inter Milan had to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, however, after raising the funds through smaller deals, they have been set on keeping hold of their star asset.
The Portuguese boss was hoping to sign him before they flew out to China for the pre-season tour but a deal has stalled as both sides have failed toa gree on a potential fee.
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has said Perisic still wants to move to Old Trafford.
“United want him [Perisic], he wants to come to United and Inter want him to sign a new deal,” he said.
Ed Woodward allegedly held further talks with Perisic’s agent in a bid to push through a £39m deal but the only way Inter will drop from their £48m asking price is if Anthony Martial is included in a deal.
The Italian side are offering him a new deal worth around £96,000-a-week at the San Siro and it remains to be seen if he’ll actually make the switch.
