Zlatan Ibrahimovic has spoken out about his return from injury at Manchester United, claiming he won’t be rushing himself to get back.
The big Swede was ruled out until the new year with a serious knee setback, however, he’s been working incredibly hard and is now expected to be back in action in late October.
He scored 28 goals across all competitions and has now signed a new deal at Old Trafford as Jose Mourinho looks to take the side back to winning ways.
Speaking about a potential return, Ibrahimovic claims he’ll only come back when he’s feeling 100%.
“When the day comes I will be more than ready because it’s not about coming back 50% to 80% because I don’t want to have any excuses,” he said.
“Like he has been injured and he’s just come back. When I’m back I’m back I want to have the same pressure like every year and the same expectation like always.”
There were doubts he’d even be able to perform last year but he’s silenced critics and will be hoping to add the Premier League to his glowing array of titles.
Hopes are he can re-find his best form as he looks to lead the line at Old Trafford as he’ll continue to have a big presence on and off the pitch.
