Zlatan Ibrahimovic is delighted to be playing alongside Romelu Lukaku at Manchester United this season.
Man United announced his new deal on Thursday, confirming he would be wearing the No.10 after Wayne Rooney completed his move to Everton.
He was ruled out until the new year after picking up an injury in the Europa League last campaign, however, Zlatan is now expected back late October as he’s been working incredibly hard on his rehabilitation.
Speaking about the partnership, Zlatan believes Lukaku makes United a much stronger side.
“I am happy he came and I think the team is much stronger this season,” he said.
“Signing Lukaku makes us even stronger because he has different qualities from me as a striker and from Rashford as a striker. He is a powerful guy and he will bring some extra quality in the game.”
There were doubts Zlatan would be fine with playing behind Lukaku, but it looks like he understands his situation and the fact that he may not be able to play each week, especially so soon after his setback.
Hopes are he re-finds his form as the pair will be unstoppable up front once they return to their best.
