The 19-year-old made his senior debut against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup last season, featuring at right back, and magnificently kept Alexis Sanchez quiet on his first start against Arsenal back in May.
He continued to feature in Mourinho’s side during the latter stages of last season, producing solid displays in midfield against Southampton and Crystal Palace before enjoying a productive pre-season tour of the United States.
And according to Mail Online‘s Mike Keegan, the teenager’s recent form has piqued the interest of Hull and a loan move could be on the cards.
Tuanzebe will face something of a dilemma during these final few hours of the transfer window. He has already demonstrated to Mourinho his ability to feature at right back and central midfield at the highest level over the last few months, and you sense that the Portuguese will call on his services at various points over the season – if only sporadically.
Does he follow the example set by Andreas Pereira last season and feature regularly elsewhere? Or will he look to the likes of Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard – both established members in the first team – and fight for a place at Old Trafford?
