Paul Pogba has sent a message of gratitude to Manchester United supporters after winning the ‘Player of the Month’ award for August.
The Frenchman, with Nemanja Matic providing balance at the base of midfield, has been a scintillating force in the middle, claiming two goals, an assist and two ‘Man of the Match’ awards so far this season.
He was also handed the ‘Goal of the Month’ award by the club for his sumptuous strike during Man United’s 4-0 win over Swansea City.
And Pogba, who won the award back in May, took to social media to thank supporters for once again voting for him.

Jose Mourinho said earlier this year that Pogba’s £89m fee would look like a bargain in three years. But the Portuguese was way off. It’s only taken a matter of months.
There aren’t really any midfielders you can really compare Pogba with. He is, without doubt, the closest thing to Zinedine Zidane that France have produced, but even that doesn’t tell you the whole story.
He is an innovator – somebody whose game is grounded in a kind of intuitive brilliance that cannot really be taught. He masters every aspect of a midfielder’s game – tackling, passing, breaking the lines – with a veneer of his own unique style.
And vestiges of doubt over the Frenchman’s quality amidst rival fans will soon disappear if the 24-year-old continues in the same vein.
