Manchester United fans delighted with dazzling Anthony Martial cameo against Stoke City

Manchester United fans were full of praise for Anthony Martial‘s enterprising cameo during their side’s 2-2 draw with Stoke City.

The Frenchman, who started against Leicester City, was left on the bench as Marcus Rashford scored Man United’s equaliser just before half time.

He was introduced after 72 minutes against Mark Hughes’ side with the scores level and produced some sublime pieces of skill – including a move that will forever give Mame Biram Diouf nightmares.

And supporters, despite seeing their side draw, were notably pleased to see Martial once again looking ominous on the ball.

We often say that a player left another ‘on his arse’ with a piece of skill, but rarely do we literally mean it.

With Martial, however, he quite literally left Diouf flat on his arse, broken and beaten, with a truly mesmerising turn. Like: completely and utterly on his arse. The 21-year-old has no regard for the fact that poor Diouf, once of United, has a family.

But while that was his crowning moment, his wider display deserves recognition. He didn’t end up on the scoresheet but you can tell, just by the way he handles the ball, that Martial has his mojo back at United.
