The Frenchman hobbled off after just 16 minutes during Man United’s 3-0 win over FC Basel on Tuesday and it was later revealed following a scan that he would be out for four to six weeks.
But it was reported earlier today by Duncan Castles in the Sunday Times that Pogba could miss up to three months of action.
Mourinho, however, made it clear following his side’s 4-0 win over Everton that this report was completely false.
Thankfully, Castles has dropped another dud on us and we can move on with our lives. But you can tell that even Mourinho doesn’t know the full extent of Pogba’s injury. Hamstring injuries are, after all, decidedly murky, irritating afflictions, and supporters will have to anxiously wait until they receive further information.
Mourinho will, no doubt, want him back in contention for the trip to Anfield on October 14.
