Pogba has been out for over two weeks since suffering a torn hamstring just 19 minutes into captaining Man United in the UEFA Champions League against FC Basel.
United went onto win the game 3-0, but it was bittersweet with the injury to Pogba.
According to The Telegraph, there is now worries at United that Pogba could miss many more games than initially expected.
At first, there were hopes that the Frenchman would be somewhat fit for United’s big clash with Liverpool on October 14th, but Pogba could now even miss the trip to Premier League champions Chelsea on November 5th.
With an international break following that game, Pogba may not be seen in action again for United until November 18th, a home game against Newcastle United.
Having missed three games already, Pogba would now miss a further eight games for Jose Mourinho‘s side if United’s worst fears come true.
The 24-year-old had started the season in superb fashion, contributing not only with brilliant all-round midfield play, flourishing alongside summer signing Nemanja Matić, but also with goals and assists, something that was missing last season.
In the opening month of the season, Pogba had convinced most of the footballing world that he was indeed one of the best in the world, having struggled to do so in his first year back at United.
