Anthony Martial has been named Manchester United’s official ‘Player of the Month’ award for the third time following a superb September period at Old Trafford.
The Frenchman enjoyed impressive goalscoring displays against Everton, Burton Albion and CSKA Moscow, terrorising opponents with his slick, menacing style on the left hand side.
He has been one of Jose Mourinho‘s standout performers so far and has now claimed five goals and five assists in total since the start of the season.
And he was deservedly handed the award for ‘Player of the Month’ by the club, providing emphatic proof of his barren spell from last year being well and truly over.

The likes of Romelu Lukaku, Marouane Fellaini, Nemanja Matic and Marcus Rashford could all stake a claim for this award, but nobody quite comes close to the constant direct impact Martial has had on games over the last month.
He has come up with a goal or assist every 41 minutes on average. In other words, his current form suggests that he can make an impact on every game he plays. Every game.
That is a truly staggering contrast to the Martial of this time last year, who after nine games – and actually more minutes on the pitch – had only managed one goal and one assist.
Needless to say, the youngster is back to his very best.
