Anthony Martial has been pictured with his ‘Player of the Month’ award for September following a superb month for Manchester United.

The Frenchman has been an effervescent force on the left hand side over the last few weeks, producing a stream of slick, menacing performances as he continues to fight for spot in the starting XI with Marcus Rashford.

He netted three goals and claimed four assists from just three starts during September – or, in other words, contributing a goal every 41 minutes on average.

And the youngster has been pictured in calm, almost unbothered spirits after claiming his third ‘Player of the Month’ award since arriving at the club.

You can see that Martial, whilst obviously pleased, doesn’t really care about any of this nonsense. He doesn’t need a block of glass to affirm that he was indeed Man United’s most lethal player over the past month.

There is very little he ever reveals about himself; he appears keen to not give much away at all. Some players, like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, find that talking the talk serves to empower his image. But with Martial the opposite is true: stay quiet, emotionless, and to all your talking on the pitch.

Needless to say, such a strategy is working a treat this season.
