Former Chelsea footballer Frank Lampard has sent a warning shot to Manchester United ahead of the club’s highly anticipated clash against Liverpool.
The Red Devils face their fierce rivals after the international break, heading into the game in fine form after winning six of their seven Premier League games so far.
Liverpool meanwhile have struggled with some inconsistencies having won three, drawn three and lost once in their seven games.
However, one of those wins came against Arsenal, humiliating the Gunners 4-0 in a convincing display that Jose Mourinho will surely study.
United will be hoping to avoid repeating the same mistake after the last international break in which they drew 2-2 with Stoke City to end the club’s winning start.
According to FutnSoccer, Lampard said: “The way they set up at home, Liverpool can certainly beat anyone with their attacking play.”
The Reds have been known for their intense approach to games under former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp and Jose will be looking to counter this.
Liverpool have plenty of pace in their side with Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firminio all amongst their attacking talents.
The Red Devils themselves however, will also be looking to utilise their speed in Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
It may well be the battle of defences and which team will be capable of coping with their opponents strong attackers.
United have kept six clean sheets out of seven Premier League games so far this season and will hope to add to that against Liverpool.
Mourinho will also have to cope without Marouane Fellaini after his recent injury during the international break. Who will win this fierce encounter?
