Spanish international Ander Herrera had a game to forget after Manchester United’s tight win over Benfica in the Champions League.
The Red Devils went ahead thanks to a long range free-kick effort from Marcus Rashford which went in after some strange decision making by the Portuguese side’s goalkeeper.
However, fans seems upset with what he’s done with that game time and the determined midfielder will clearly need to step up his performances in order to become a fan favourite once more.
Partnered with Nemanja Matic, Ander was outshone by his Serbian teammate and will have to quickly sort out his form if he wishes to remain in this United side.

I know Herrera has been in and out but his regression has been alarming

It’s likely that once either Pogba or Fellaini return from their injuries that Herrera will have to retreat once more back to the substitutes bench.
Jose Mourinho will want all his midfielders back from injury as soon as possible as his players currently seem deflated.
After a superb start to the season, the Red Devils have slowed down a bit and have been unable to get out of first gear in recent matches.
Mourinho has attributed it to the lack of midfield options and tactical flexibility but unless it get’s sorted out soon, there will be an opposition team who will punish his players.
