Manchester United fan favourite Marcus Rashford was widely praised after his goalscoring performance vs Huddersfield in the Premier League.
The talented youngster only played in the second half of the match but it was enough for him to get on the scoresheet after some wonderful play from Romelu Lukaku.
Rashford’s goal inspired the team to try and score a second after initially being 2-0 down before the break but unfortunately the Red Devils couldn’t come away with a single point.
Most of United’s players performed poorly in what has proven to be a crucial match after Manchester City won their game, opening a five point gap at the top of the table.
For all the disappointment surrounding the intense match, fans will have hope in their young star’s performance after, once more, helping spark some life into his team.
Marcus Rashford has now scored more Premier League goals (13) as a teenager for Man Utd than Ryan Giggs.
Only Wayne Rooney (15) has more 🔴 pic.twitter.com/S45Mo0oMn5

Fantastic work from Romelu Lukaku. Did all of the hard work. Great determination. Superb finish from Marcus Rashford. Game on.

The Red Devils face Tottenham and Chelsea in their next two Premier League matches and will hope to perform better than they did against the newly promoted side.
Losses or even draws to both teams could send United tumbling down the table as the dropped points yesterday have helped other clubs catch close the gap.
Jose Mourinho will have to quickly sort out his team’s issues in order to navigate his way through some tough upcoming fixtures.
The Manchester United boss will want to avoid having to rely on his young star and will wish the rest of his players can play with the same fire that Rashford does.
