Nemanja Matic will not travel with the Serbia squad for friendlies in China and South Korea over the international break following busy month with Manchester United.
The 29-year-old has been an indispensable figure for Man United since arriving in August for £40m, starting 16 of the 18 games played so far this season.
Jose Mourinho will be relieved to hear that Matic will not have to contend with long distance exhibitions with his national side over the next week.
Nemanja Matic (rest), Matija Nastasic (injury) and Aleksandar Jovanovic (injury) will not travel with the team to China and South Korea.

Towards the latter stages of United’s defeat to Chelsea last weekend, the Serbian, for the first time since arriving at Old Trafford, looked a bit leggy.
And having only missed a total of 157 minutes of action all season, you can understand why. Matic also noted back in September that he was by no means near 100 per cent following a disrupted pre-season, which makes the fact that he only started to flag in his 17th game for the club.
He’ll be crucial in United’s next game which is Newcastle United at Old Trafford and make sure you check out the best odds comparison service to see how United are expected to fare against Newcastle. So long as Matic starts, we’ll have a chance to control the midfield and if Paul Pogba returns from injury we’ll be all set.
That he wasn’t named United’s ‘Player of the Month’ award for October is nothing short of absurd. During a period of miserable scarcity in midfield for United, Matic was the one who held it together.
